Salary and schedule:

• Competitive hourly wage
• Hours: Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

What we're looking for:

As a Project Manager / Technical Draftsman, you will be responsible for project management in the multi-family housing sector—from developing bids with our sales team through to post-installation services, including technical design and the optimization of the project’s cabinetry. You will work collaboratively with various teams and clients to create kitchen solutions that combine aesthetics, functionality, and manufacturing efficiency.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Manage quote requests from various contractors in the multi-family housing sector, ensure that needs are understood, and obtain the necessary clarifications from clients and stakeholders;
• Prepare the bid, in collaboration with the sales team, based on the specifications and additional information obtained from clients, while seeking to optimize construction costs by proposing various options to set the company apart from other bidders;
• Create workshop plans/drawings using Cabinet-Vision once the project has been awarded. Send them to clients for approval and liaise with the various stakeholders until they are approved;
• Review bids and shop drawings in light of project addenda and changes until production begins;
• Perform "nesting," that is, the conversion of Cabinet-Vision drawings into machine language format;
• Ensure that the quantities of materials to be ordered for projects that have entered production are added to the file after receiving all “post-nesting” information;
• Assist with ordering certain materials, particularly for countertops of all types, by contacting suppliers and placing orders;
• Monitor project progress with clients regarding the status of construction sites, with the production team at the factory, and with the installation team regarding on-site progress and the handling of post-installation service calls.
• Participate in various special projects related to the implementation of processes within the company that support its growth.

Required skills:

• Training in design, bachelor’s degree in construction management, DEC in architectural technology, or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in technical kitchen drafting (a plus)
• Proficiency with Cabinet Vision software (a plus)
• Proficiency with the Office suite (Excel and Word)
• Has excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written
• Ability to work well in a team
• Positive and professional attitude
• Demonstrates strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills, as well as a high degree of attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects at the same time
• Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to adapt
• Acts proactively and independently and demonstrates resourcefulness
